cancellation policy

We get it—life happens!

Our team is commission-based, which means missed appointments directly affect their income. To protect their time and energy, we have put a cancellation policy in place.

Need to cancel or reschedule? Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can fill your spot.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged 50% of the service total. This fee helps cover your service provider's lost time.

If you miss your appointment without notice (no show), we’ll charge 100% of the service.

If you’re unwell, we ask you to let us know as soon as possible. We allow one short-notice reschedule per client for illness or emergencies. After that, our standard cancellation fees will apply.

Sometimes your cycle surprises you. If you’re uncomfortable receiving a Brazilian while on your period, we offer one no-fee last-minute cancellation per year for menstrual-related changes. After that, our standard cancellation policy applies. Not bothered by it? Great! Wear a tampon or cup, and we’re happy to go ahead with your service.

If short-notice cancellations become frequent, we may require a deposit to rebook. This ensures our staff is protected and appointments stay consistent.

We send out reminders via email 48 hours prior, and via SMS 24 hours prior and 2 hours prior.

inclusivity policy

At Selkie Beauty it is our goal to ensure that every human feels comfortable and confident regardless of race, creed, identity or sexual orientation. As part of this policy, all forms and documents submitted have a space for you to include your pronouns to ensure we identify you correctly. for example they/them, she/her he/him. Our service menu reflects these policies as best we can by categorizing services for Folx With a Vulva (FWV) and Folx With a Penis (FWP).

When you text or call to book an appointment, you will be asked the following questions:

  • Are you booking services for Folx with a Vulva or Folx with a Penis?

  • Is your hair Fine and Sparse, Coarse and Thick or somewhere in between?

  • When is the last time / How long since you last removed your hair and with which method (waxing, shaving or sugaring?)

after hours policy

Appointments scheduled outside of a Specialists regular working day will be subject to an up charge equal to 50% of the service scheduled. For example, Rachel works 10-7 Tuesday-Friday. Appointments scheduled outside of those hours will have an up charge. If we are rescheduling your appointment due to your specialist suddenly being unavailable, the up charge will not apply.
